The objective of research was to prepare a topical ointment formulation containing active ingredients: castor oil & zinc oxide for treatment of Suppurative dermatitis appear in mouth and feet cats. Castor oil, derived from the seeds has high content of monounsaturated fatty acids “ricinoleic acid” and various phytochemicals compounds. Oil has medicinal important due to their action as antioxidant and anti-bacterial effects. The result shows high inhibitory effect of mixture "castor oil - zinc oxide" in different solvents. In buffer the result significantly p˂0.05 increase in S. aureus ATCC (25923) was mediated from 22 ±0.21 to 25±0.43mm and in E. coli ATCC (25922) show significant decrease arrange 19±0.61 and 20±0.11mm. in other side result of tween 80 shows significant increase P<0.05 in both concentration in S. aureus ATCC (25923) arrange 28 ±0.21 to 31±0.12mm and in E. coli ATCC (25922) show 27±0.61 to 30±0.11 mm. according to C. albicans shows significant increase P<0.05 in buffer was 25 ±0.51 to 27±0.42 mm and in tween 80 show 30 ±0.22 to 35 ±0.81 mm. That activity may due to the potential effect of ricinoleic acid by disrupting living organism formation and reducing the virulence of bacteria or yeast. The ointment formula prepared shows high therapeutic efficacy in clinical trials after being used for the treatment of domestic cats suffering from swelling and abscesses in the paw pad area, the ointment formula was observed to be effective in treating the condition, improving the cat's health, reducing swelling, inflammation, moisturizing the skin.
